Angelina Jolie - Jolie Is Still Pregnant

ANGELINA JOLIE has spoken out to dismiss a flurry of reports suggesting she has given birth to twins in the south of France.

Two false alarms on Friday (30May08) sent the media into a spin, with one outlet even claiming she had delivered two baby girls and named them Isla Marcheline and Amelie Jane - honouring Jolie's late mother Marcheline and her partner Brad Pitt's mum Jane.

The coverage has prompted a spokesperson for the 32-year-old to come forward and confirm the actress is still pregnant.

The rep tells People.com, "Angelina has not given birth. She is fine, enjoying her home and her family in France."

M&I Invites Musicians and Les Paul Enthusiasts to Create a Virtual Birthday Card

Activity planned to help kick off the 'Les Paul's House of Sound' exhibit
and M&I's Summerfest sponsorship

MILWAUKEE, June 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- In conjunction with
Marshall & Ilsley Corporation's sponsorship of the M&I Classic Rock Stage
at Summerfest, the world's largest music festival, M&I is inviting
musicians and Les Paul enthusiasts nationwide to take part in a video
tribute to the music legend. Les Paul fans can either upload their video
tribute online or attend one of four videotaping sessions in Milwaukee.

Those interested in participating in the virtual birthday card can
visit one of the following locations: M&I Bank at 414 West National Avenue
on Saturday, June 7 from 9:00 a.m. to noon; Summerfest grounds at the
Mid-Gate from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10; Club 400 located at
322 Williams Street in Waukesha from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10;
Jazz in the Park at Cathedral Square Park, Thursday, June 12 from 4:00 to
6:30 p.m. A video crew will be on hand to tape the tributes.

Those unable to attend a location can still participate by uploading
their musical or audio tribute by going to

A number of well-known Wisconsinites have already signed on to record
their tributes, including musician Daryl Stuermer, who is performing at the
M&I Classic Rock Stage during Summerfest, Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle, and
Larry Nelson, mayor of Waukesha, Wis., the hometown of Les Paul.

The videos will be edited and shown at the lighting of M&I's corporate
headquarters, 770 North Water Street, Milwaukee, on June 20. For the past
two years, M&I has lit its corporate headquarters in the shape of two
electric guitars as a kick off to Summerfest. This year the guitars will be
in the shape of the Les Paul-style guitar.

The June 20 event salutes Les Paul's 93rd birthday, his contributions
to music, and the opening of the "Les Paul's House of Sound" exhibit on
June 21 at Discovery World in Milwaukee.

Hit or miss?

Call it the Beatles/Cliff Richard paradox. For every Fab Four Britain exports, there’s an English sensation that can’t get arrested in the States. Here are a few of Britain’s latest idols and how America voted.
Oasis supernovas, Blur black holes
Both bands are institutions in the UK, but Oasis, on the back of “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?” and hits “Wonderwall” and “Champagne Supernova,” was the one that went platinum here. Blur remains the artful, underappreciated underdog.

Coldplay freezes out Travis
Coldplay should be paying Travis royalties. Chris Martin’s whole aesthetic is based on Travis’ “The Man Who,” an album said to be in one out of 10 British households.
Snow Patrol plows through Keane
Keane was as poppy and palatable as James Blunt with none of the schlocky terribleness. But America opted for Snow Patrol and its talent for turning every song into a cliched Coldplay-ish crescendo.
Radiohead’s OK, the rest of you are creeps
Like Pink Floyd before them, the quartet’s experiments are hugely successful on both sides of the Atlantic. Dozens of Brits have tried to repeat Radiohead’s non-formula formula. It worked at home for Muse, Elbow, Clinic, Bloc Party and the Futureheads, but here they’re considered arty, indie posers.

Scarlett Johansson Fears Tom Waits Attack

Scarlett Johansson fears that musician Tom Waits will attack her with a hammer for ruining his songs in her cover album tribute.

The 23-year old will release her compilation album Anywhere I Lay My Head in the U.S. next week, but fears her idol will not approve of her version of songs.

She tells the New York Post: "When I was presented with the idea, the ultimate goal was to not get chased down by Tom Waits and get my ass beat in a bar.

"I've heard from people who are friends with him that he's very pleased with it. He's been really supportive - not from the sidelines, but from a far, far distance.

"It was constantly in the back of my mind that if we did something Tom Waits hated, he'd come at me with a hammer."

The album also features vocals from David Bowie, who has praised her musical talents, but Johansson admits she has yet to receive approval from Waits himself.

Have you heard Scarlett’s singing? What do you think of it? Be sure to leave your comments below.

George Sampson Wins Britain's Got Talent

George SampsonBreakdancer George Sampson has won Britain's Got Talent 2008.

The 14-year-old wowed the judges and the audience at home with a high energy dance routine to revamped classic Singin' in The Rain.

George, from Warrington, North West England, beat nine other acts to take home the 100,000 prize and will now appear at the Royal Variety Performance in front of the Prince of Wales.

As the announcement was made live on ITV, George broke into tears and said, "I'm speechless. Wow. Just thanks so much everybody."

Judge Simon Cowell said to the winner, "You are the dance version of Rocky. You battled your way to the top."

It was the second time that the teenager has put himself forward for the competition. Last year he was knocked out in one of the preliminary stages.

Fellow judge Piers Morgan said after the performance, "I love your confidence, George. I love the fact that every time we've ever seen you it's the best performance you've ever done. I think all great dancers are like that."

The popular vote went against the earlier predictions of bookmakers.

Neither of the two perceived front runners - 12-year-old opera singer Faryl Smith and all-girl string quartet Escala, made it into the final three.

Sampson had previously said that his main motivation for winning the show was to help out his hard-up single mum, Lesley.

"I'd pay my mum's mortgage off for a start," he said earlier this week. "I'm doing this for mum. I love her, we're really close.

"I do worry about money, but I stay strong."

Brad, Ange disagree over twins' names

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie can’t agree on names for their unborn twins.

The couple - who are expecting twins in August – are said to be arguing over potential names because Brad doesn’t like Angelina’s suggestions.

Gemini Angelina reportedly wants to name the babies Castor and Pollox after the twins of her birth sign, but Brad has dismissed the suggestion as he doesn’t want a daughter with a name "like a British cuss word".

Angelina confirmed she was expecting twins in an interview last week after her Kung Fu Panda co-star Jack Black let the news slip during an interview at the Cannes Film Festival.

Actor Dustin Hoffman later revealed the babies are due on August 19.

Angelina and Brad already have three adopted children, Maddox, six, Pax, four, and Zahara, three, and a biological daughter, Shiloh, 23 months.
